It’s going to be fun to see if locals really go for it, or just have a honeymoon period followed by abandonment if they don’t make it to the SCF every other year. I think there’s enough of a critical mass here,thanks to transplants (local hockey is moderate at best) to keep it going, at least in the short term - but the same thing probably existed in other expansion markets, too.
My biggest gripe is that the arena is in a very inconvenient location unless one wants to sit in traffic for 2 hours after every game.
